This is based on core XY kinematics. First of all, we designed a CAD model. Most of the required parts are designed by us in solidworks software, and some parts are downloaded from a web platform ‘grabcad’. After that we assembled those parts and inspected them in solidworks. The designed CAD models are frame of 470mmX392mmX545mm SBR linear guide rod, linear guide holder, lead screw, motor mounts, pulley, bed mount, idler block, timing belt clamper.

This is a powered stand intended to operate a manual coffee grinder. It is compact, light, portable and uses simple drive components (B&D Cordless Screwdriver). I will post two version, V-1 (Beginner skill level ) and V-2 (Intermediate skill level). Both accomplish the same results.

I have loads of ideas to take myOX towards that goal and way beyond. Time will tell. Just follow along through this build and possibly a few others along the way ... Well I built a C-Beam XL around a year ago, I am still learning things as I make stuff with it, it has been quite a wonderful learning experience. Now I have gained enough confidence and knowhow to Mill the required Plates to build an Acro Laser System using the Acro Laser Sketchup Model. I have pulled the Model apart in Sketchup, isolated the Plates and generated the G-Code to cut/Mill the plates. I have used Sketchucam to generate the G-Code. I Use Mach3 on my C-Beam XL to Mill.

I put this together to cut aluminum. Chips get everywhere! Cover your lead screws. Put the mill inside an enclosure. DON'T mount electronics (especially the power supply) inside the enclosure, chips will get into it and short it out. Remove the manual jog wheels, they contribute to chatter (something about having a mass on the end of the lead screw causes vibration). I cut at 14000 RPM, 0.05 inch width of cut, 0.05 inch depth of cut, 30 inches per minute and just barely avoid chatter.
