    I am building a cantilever 3D printer that will look similar. I do not know if you would be able to use this with a router but it does have many other application possibilities i.e. 3D printer, laser engraver, pick-n-place, circuit board maker etc.

    Hey !

    How long is the X Axis ? I wanted to build one like this but i was afraid of the flex and wobble on the x axis

    With a cantilever that is too long you will need a counter balance and more of a weighted support in the frame work. My cantilever (x-axis) is only 14 inches long but I am only using it for 3D printer with clay and various plastic and I will be using it for my laser module as well.

    What if you added another y beam - then you could go wider!

    You could also attach a wheel at the end of the X Axis (not a V Wheel, an actual wheel :D) and probably go like 1000x1000
