    Hi guys,

I'm going to buy a festool dust extractor for my handheld power tools, which has a hose with an ID/OD 27/32mm.
Do you know if it's possible to connect an adapter to connect to the 63.5mm dust shoe that comes with the WorkBee CNC?
    Is it recommended?
I have a small workshop, so the CNC will be my only stationary machine (for now).
What I want is just one dust extractor, that suits both my handheld power tools and the CNC.

    Thanks, kind regards

If you have access to 3d printing there are lots of files for hose adapters on Thingiverse. The larger the diameter of the hose the better.
If you can't find a suitable adapter on Thingiverse (but do have access to 3d printing) reply here and I'll design one for you.
    Alex.

Hi Alex, thank you for your help. I don't have a 3d printer, but I think I know someone who does.
I'll let my workbee and dust extractor arrive and see if I can find a hose adapter.
    Thanks

As you have a CNC system you could always cut a fitting…

What do you mean? Make a wooden hose adapter with the CNC...?

Yes, that what he means - wood or acrylic.

Ah, I think I understand what you mean. The idea is to not use the original dust shoe of the workbee, and make one myself, not just the hose adapter?
You'll have to forgive my ignorance, but I'm totally new to CNC. I didn't knew I could cut acrylic with the CNC!
