I am preparing to build a large router table. Trying to figure out how to connect two v slot rails at 90 degree angle to each other with strong connection What part/tool/mechanism is available on the Open Build store that attaches into the end of a V rail
I used the triangular edge connectors to secure each 90-deg angle and left them a little loose. Once I had all 4 corners ready, I tightened the edges. BTW, I had tightened each corner first and found that the movement along the Y axis was not symmetrical. This was because the angles had gotten slightly askew. So, each corner had to be loosened and readjusted.
You can use either of these onto the ends of V-Slot (or on the internal corner) Cast Corner Bracket Cube Corner Connector L Bracket For a really strong connection, use these 90 Degree Joining Plate Have a read through https://hackaday.com/2016/12/14/a-how-to-in-homebrew-design-fab-and-assembly-with-extruded-profiles/ - in particular there is a section (1. Fully-Constraining Parts) recommending the use of the corner brackets and joining plates at the same time (to constrain it from both directions) (Sadly there are some broken image links in that article that no longer show up, a real shame)
