So I have never crossed into the Raspberry Pi realm. But I'm thinking of it. I have been reading and wanted to send a quick sanity check thread. If I understand correctly I can purchase a kit like the one below for a Raspberry Pi and install Linux on it and run Openbuilds Control with a monitor, keyboard and mouse? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BC567T...olid=33BYYUWJEXQAP&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Thanks for you time, Folks!
OB Control on RPi isnt supported. There are instructions on how to compile it in the wiki, however, these no longer work starting with version .159 or so (cant remember off the top of my head). I tried for 2 days to get it working and couldnt. I bought this instead: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D77W8CZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I'm working on the workaround for compiling openbuilds control on the pi. I'll post an update to this thread when I have more.
I was wondering if you were happy with this purchase or if you would have done something different after using it for a while?
I'm happy. As long as you dont expect it to be as fast as a desktop/laptop, then you'll be happy. I only use it to run OB control. Keep in mind, I bought this instead of the one Peter runs because I have multiple 10" touchscreens laying around. For the price, you might want to consider what Peter uses: PiPO X10 TV Box 10.8 Inch Mini PC Windows 10 & Android 5.1 US Plug
