Hi Mark, IS there a Makita adapter that fits the Dewalt one you sell in your store ? Or are you planning to having one ?
Hello @dennisn8tkk we do not have an adapter available on the Part Store as of yet. But in the mean time you could 3D print one. There are a few different ones in the Resources that may help
You printed some parts for others making the Delta Six Build,I have a cheep "prusa", and need some knowledge. What are you using Pla, Abs? I have been trying print vertices using ABS and they warps every time. I have a heated bed I have used Glue Bluetape Brims Rafts, Normally I would print out of PLA but, I am worried that the Steppers will warm up and warp the part? Any guidance would be appreciated. Dave
I use Hatchbox ABS, pinted at 50-70% infill at 143c and HB at 95c. I don't get much wrping or lifting.
Hi. Still doing work with sewing machines and such? I'm working on a project to add automation to the wife's long arm quilting machine. Having a ball. A 10 foot X axis! Using Raspberry PI sending gcode to grbl on an Uno. Lets chat. -mark
Welcome to OpenBuilds!
I was looking into your OX CNC kit and it is looking very promising for his price. But i was wandering, can it be easily upgraded with a laser module? To make it an laser cutter.
greetings jeroen swyngedouw
Thank you for contacting us. We don't offer the upgrade, but there is no reason why you couldn't attach a laser to it, you will just need to find suitable controller/software to pair it with.
Hi Mark, may I ask you something to the OX CNC mill? I am absolutely new to that CNC Topic and would like to know, what max feed rate and acceleration the OX CNC with the CNC X Pro Controller board can handle? I want to use 6mm flat end mills with XPS foam. Thank you in advance, pitily found nothing in the Manual and here in the Forum. Greetings and a succesful new year 2017, Stephan
Hello @Stephan Schmidl Welcome to OpenBuilds and CNC you will have fun here and learn a ton in this great community get ready for an adventure! On the main build page of the OX Build - http://www.openbuilds.com/builds/openbuilds-ox-cnc-machine.341/ you will see a list od GRBL settings posted by John Meikrantz and they are a good indication of the OX settings.
There are always other factors that will changes these settings mainly how the machine is built , but this is a good starting point. Hope this helps, be sure to ask questions in the discussion thread of the build (tab at the top) so that other will learn as well. Thank you
Hi Daz , watching your build progress with great interest as I intend to build my own C beam in the near future , I currently have a stepcraft 600 with Vcarve pro and uccnc software which has been fun to learn on but the build quality is not the best . I notice that you are in Wales - I live in Wrexham "small world or what" Keep up the good work with the vids ATB Bri
Hi, can anyone tell me, has anyone built a sliding table saw fence. Thanks
Hello @Graeme Lupton have a look at these awesome Builds they should give you some ideas :) Please share your Build once you start yours.
I am building my 3 axis cnc router with fixed table.
I am from India so I can't get x pro controller here. I am facing problems in selecting suitable controller and driver. Please help me to solve my problem. Help me to select them with lowest possible cost. I am waiting for your valuable suggestions.
"I am from India so I can't get x pro controller here." OpenBuilds Part Store Ships world wide so you should have no problems getting one - http://openbuildspartstore.com/cnc-xpro-v3-controller-stepper-driver/

Building OX HD, parts slowly coming in from all over the place!
Need to furnish an email address for the parts store.
Order number #40510. I am missing part 25-LP 8 mm Metric Acme Lead Screw, 250 mm
Sorry to hear this. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org!
You seem to be the go to guy for sketchup, maybe you can help me. I want to trace a pattern out for my scroll saw and cut it on my cbeam, looked for videos and at forums but can't seem to find anything
You mean like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Z9ZV44AfXs
A brief search shows that Inkscape can automatically trace an image. Then you can export that and import it into sketchup.
Thank you for the response I'll check the video out not sure about the Inkscape have not used it
Hey Mar, thanks for the encouragement. BTW I am a Jersey Girl myself, born in the north, grew up in the pine lands.
Should I combine the grounds of a separate power supply and a control boards USB ground?
Please ask this question on the forums so others may learn, The xPRO thread may be the best place - http://www.openbuilds.com/threads/cnc-xpro-driver.487/page-21
I'll add plan Asap
this is the based OX cnc i just set 2x 1500 / 8 vslot profile joined with plate and double belt
Can I get the parts list? Looks like a great proyect
Hi, I just read your review on the C=Beam and I was wondering what electronics did you go with?? I used the Arduino Uno with GRBL Shield and it doesn't work properly.
Thanks for your time!
I used the same board that was used in the original build by Mark. They sell it in the parts store,CNC xpro v2, just bought. Xpro v3 for a plasma table project. Card is pretty straight forward and have not had any problems with it.
Rob, in your write up on Actuator testing data you list a NEMA 23 leadscrew actuator and a NEMA 23 high torque leadscrew actuator, could you tell me the difference in configuration between them? I really appreciate this testing you have done.
The high torque version uses this motor:
That's the only difference.
Back to making
Hey ,i saw in a post that you fit a ballscrew in the C-beam. May i ask where u got it and what size? i'm fairly new in cnc but would prefer ballscrews to normal leadscrews, i have looked a bit but cant find any that would actualy fit in the small section of the C-beam.
Post i saw it in : http://openbuilds.org/threads/openbuilds-ox-cnc-machine.134/page-112
I used common Chinese 1204 ball screws with machined ends with FK12 end mounts and custom mounts:
Some info here: http://openbuilds.org/threads/c-beams-ball-screws-and-mgn-rails.7978/
The ball nuts have to be modified (cut and ground) to fit in the C-Beams.
Plan on posting a detailed build of my router soon.
Hi Mark, I wanted to know if you could send me the link to the ox plate files. Had them, then lost my thumb drive they were on and can't locate that link I used when I purchased my c-beam bundle. Would like to upgrade to the OX build. Thanks.
Hi Headlodius, no a problem just need to go to the OX Build and click on the files and drawings Tab to find the download
All the files your looking for will be there. Here's a link - http://openbuilds.com/builds/openbuilds-ox-cnc-machine.341/#openbuilds_files
