    (For a 3D Printer)
(I would have the C Beam Actuator attached to a frame)
(The bed would be on the 20x80 extrusion sticking out of the actuator)

I was just wondering if a NEMA 23 motor would be able to handle it. The printing would start with the bed at the top so its just the NEMA slowly taking it downwards. I figured since it would be going down that gravity would help take some of the load off the motor but I honestly have no idea so I thought I would ask you guys

My question to you would be: "Why would you want to hang the heaviest part of the printer motion assembly from one end, and lower it, instead of moving the print head to and away from the print surface?"

Maybe if we had a better look at the rest of the bits, parts, pieces it would help to give you a better answer. Short answer is "I wouldn't"
