Wow @Jan Koeppen this is exactly what OpenBuilds parts were designed to do!
Can I ask what you are using for control?
Thank you first for sharing this and for the OpenBuilds credit in the video very cool

    We use MK3/4 from PlanetCNC.
We prepared 3 SD Cards, so we can use it without external PC. One for Homing and two for the different application programs.

Could you tell us which suction cups you used?

What did you use for the air compressor/hoses/fittings and controller for the valve?
I want to create a similar system to sort a stack of different thicknesses of glass.

    thanks.

    Hi Trevor,

to create the vacuum, we use a vacuum pump with a pressure reservoir. It's not a special one, just a pump we had here. But there are several other possibilities to create vacuum, even with compressed air (But it's loud and expensive in usage).

Hoses are standard-hoses (e. g. Luftschläuche/Standard|MISUMI|MISUMI) We have no problems with -0,9 bar with these hoses.

Fittings are standard fittings, too. Just these blue plug-in-connectors. (e. g. Suchen nach Schnellkupplungen Artikeln und vielen anderen industriellen Komponenten |MISUMI

The valve should be for vacuum use. It is controlled by the controller PCB, switched by a relay. (The controller PCB only provides 5 V and the valve need 24 V)

Hope I could help you. Have a nice day.

    Greetz
