That looks great. What is the blue material that your table is surfaced with? Is that your spoil board or will the spoil board be attached on top of it?

Are you planning on adding cross beams to turn the sides and back into trusses?

I see the C-beam hole pattern on your gantry plate. But there are an extra two holes to the right of them. Some kind of secondary cross beam?

That is just the blue protective film on the cast plate. A spoil board, jig or fixture will go on top of the tooling plate. The holes behind the C-Beam on the gantry plates are for 4 cast corners.

Unfortunately I'm at a stand still because of machining error.

Would you mind telling us what the error was? I know I should not ask, but you did tell us one existed and perhaps the knowledge might save somebody else the same issue.

I have a C-Beam router build under construction right now, so my question really is pertinent, at least to me.

    Thanks pal,
    Larry

Is there any update, Barry? My build is under construction at long last.

I have since abandoned the idea of using mini x wheels on this build. I've elected to make new plates and use the larger wheels on the outside of the rail. No issue just personal preference.
