It has taken me an insane amount of time to get to this point where I'm ready to run first project. The day I completed the build of my Lead 1515 I broken my leg and several toes. Suffice to say my pet project had to take a back seat. Well that was then and this is now. My machine responds exactly as I would expect during jogging exercises and probe routines. However, when I load and run the "Hello World" project, my spindle turns on and I can see every grbl command line scroll by but my spindle doesn't leave the XYZ zero position established with the probe. I'm stumped. If anyone has some thoughts I would be highly appreciative.
First guess: Do you have an IoT relay? If so: Did you accidentally plug your 24v PSU into it, thinking its a Power strip? Make sure the PSU is plugged directly into the wall if that's the case.
You ROCK. I plugged 24v supply into the IOT which plugged into power strip. Made the change and my world is so much better. Thank you Peter. -Darrin
Yeah, the relay is for controlling stuff. The Normally ON outlet, turns OFF when the spindle signal comes through. Thus turning off your PSU - leaving the motors unable to move
Makes perfect sense. I let my excitement get the better of me and I acted without thinking. I appreciate assistance and your education on how the IOT operates. -Darrin
