speed and feed

    how do I work out the speed and feed rate if all I know is the cutting diameter and material I want to cut?

    Well, its more depends on material u gonna cut,
    The formula we use to calculate feed and speed are vc which is cutting speed are equal to pie dia of tool and rpm divide by 1000 if u r converting in mm
    Vc mostly we gets from our inserts or tool manufactures from here we could found rpm and then no of flutes multiply fred per tooth (also given by tool manufacturer ) multiply with rpm gives feed
