Build is looking good.. Printing everything first is very handy for quick confirmation of updates. Having our machines prototype our machines to help us build more machines. :D

    Just a small update.

Plates have been cut and are ready, only had 8mm so slight alteration to some bolts.

Spent quite a while deciding on which control system to go for and in the end I went for bcnc, I've played with arduino before so that bit I'm comfortable with GRBL and Bcnc don't look to complicated, BUT python on Windows 7 64 bit is a pita some of the dependencys for the camera drove me mad so for now no camera.

Anyhow made a quick test bed for one motor and its all alive with homing. Again many thanks to kyo for his wiring.

Next is to rebuild the machine again.

    Some more progress today.

Stripped the machine down and rebuilt with the aluminium plates.

As you can see from the pics I've added an extra beam across the back of x more for the cable track than for strength.

Next up wiring and choosing a spindle. IMG_20170129_205143.jpg IMG_20170129_205315.jpg

    Another small but significant update,

It's alive, wiring is just chucked in at the moment but drives ok, Bcnc ok and even managed to get the camera in Bcnc working.

Need to decide on spindle now and have ago with some cam software.

Somewhere I have my old speeds and feeds charts, found my zeus book from the 90's IMG_20170202_204709.jpg
