    Hi,

I need a bit of help. I have recently built an OX CNC at 1500mm by 1500mm. It works really well for what I am using it for except for one small problem I don't know how to resolve.

The Y-axis which uses two Nema 34 motors (one Y and one mirrored - A), and it seems to have an issue with the steppers starting there movement at the same time. It appears like the Y motor moves a few milliseconds before the A motor.

A friend helped me configure the driver, I have tuned the motors. I am not sure if its a hardware issue or software. If anyone has any thoughts on how I might go about teasing this problem out it would be massively appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Adam

Adam, are the cables to the stepper motors the same length?

Just checked and the lagging stepper's cable is approximately 200mm longer.

That might be the problem, make them the same length to eliminate that one. Than check if it works ok. Good luck!;)

it is almost certainly a software problem, but you don't say what software you are using, nor what controller.
