    A little while back I purchased a Simplify3D licence for ver. 3.1
It seems there were some problems with the software creating junk code which would cause smoothie to freeze.
One apparent solution is a gcode cleaner but I wanted to see if version 3.1 can deliver without that, so last night I printed a tall tube, 30 mm diameter, 3 mm wall thickness, 150 mm tall, to also test any machine drift. All was printed from a non-cleaned gcode file, and the results are in the pics below.

I am aware that this is a simple model, will test more complicated ones as I calibrate my machine, but for the time being I must say I'm very happy how everything worked out.
