I have the parts from a Ready2Rout lift and fence (terrible machine - don't buy) that bit the dust because of poor design and electronics. I have some nema motors, pulleys, blackbox, etc left over from some previous builds and upgrades. I thought I might be able to use these parts plus the ready2Rout parts to automate/ re-jig the router lift and fence movement. I want to start simple by connecting the Nema motors to the blackbox and using simple rocker switches to move the parts up and down and back and forth. Is this a worthwhile project and what wisdom can you lend to the experiment? The alternative would be to just add a crank and keep it manual, or shelve the whole idea.
