Hello all, I am thinking about to make CNC with V-slot aluminium extrusion, I really like this idea of shape. But. But there is the belt matter. My question is, is the 5mm width belt solid enough to hold machine vibration ? My goal is to use machine for plastic, wood, acrylic, aluminium. At plastic, wood, acrylic I expect from machine good speed a smooth precision. For aluminium is not speed important, but also want a smooth precision. 1. Is there any visible test of some machine using 5mm width belt on these materials ? My idea of belt is something like from 10-20 mm width, but that is not possible to insert inside alu-profile. 2. Is there any machine setup with wider belts ? thanks
