    Hi there,

    Background:
New to open builds and the DIY scene for the most part. I am looking specifically at dispensing silicone caulk onto a part profile about 5" x 6" in size consisting of several straight sections and radii. The machine would likely be an XY table with a Z axis dispensing head or a fixed table with an XYZ dispensing head, I am not overly concerned with my ability to build this part, what I don't fully understand is the best way to do the control of the motion and dispensing. I understand and am relatively familiar with G and M code and have experience running Haas machines and some Doosan (fanuc-i) controllers.

    Questions:
My question is, what types of controllers are best suited to this type of thing, would I need one for motion and another for dispensing?

Does anyone have any experience with dispensing controllers and if

so, can you give me a recommendation for any literature or resources?

Thanks in advance for any input,

If anything is unclear or you need more information, please feel free to ask.

    -Miguel

I have attached an image of the part profile for reference. Jbox image.jpg
