Any chance the 4 buttons for step distances can become 8 buttons (or 2 fields of typed data)

Not noticing that the step distance is 100mm when Z jogging can be an issue if limit switches and hard limits are not in use...

Just an idea towards future suggestions, (even Easel introduced this recently and we all know how functionally limited their sender is...)

I think I understand what you are asking for. So like UGS (Universal GCode Sender) where you can se the feed for X&Y and then separately set Z.

For example set X/Y as 100mm and then set Z as 5mm. That way if you touch Z by accident it does not try move 100mm?

Adopt continuous jog along with Keyboard shortcuts. Way less chance of accidents. Also, get an docs.openbuilds.com/xyzprobe - more automation, less jogging
