Hi everyone, I've 4 nema23 4A with MW 24V 350watt power supply, do you think that blackbox can handle for long time Vcarving projects on each motor or it can burn blackbox board on long time use ?
    Thanks

It will probably run it fine. The 4A rating is the maximum the motors can take without damage, not the recommended current setting. So in terms of current the 3.2A RMS max of the Black will keep it all safe.
But current is but one part of the equation. Is the coil voltage rating between 3-6v? Low inductance of 1-2mH - those two parameters make for nice and fast acceleration. Check your motors datasheets, if the values differ drastically, post the datasheet and we can advise better

Thanks for replying, i've found the data sheet for motors so if i set the each motor current to 3.2A motors will run normally? motor_specs.JPG

    Hello Peter,

What is the default current setting of the Blackbox and can I crank it up that a little. My motors now run at 1500mm/min but not yet 3 or 4000. Would increasing the current do a better job.

The inductance of the motors could be lower - this might be the limiting factor - more inductance = more self-braking back-emf
Dial back the acceleration a little - so it has more time to come up to speed

You can happily dial the current up, just check for overheating: See docs:blackbox:currentadjustment [OpenBuilds Documentation]
