I just felt the need to thank openbuilds for this amazing community. Without you guys (and the company itself) this project would not be possible. Today I had my first bite in cutting aluminium using a machine I built from OpenBuilds parts, I always had this dream of being able to make things out of metals. Here's a few pictures and a video of the finished machine. The purpose of it was to be able to cut aluminum sheets, quickly change the spindle into a extruder, and quickly convert it to a 3D printer when needed. The main purpose this machine was made for is being able to prototype my upcoming 3D printer and various other projects: Once again, thank you! Kind regards, Marcin S
Much appreciated, Rick. One of the goals was to build the machine using "off-the-shelve" parts, I had no access to any routing facilities so could not make the OX cnc parts, I think that this is a suitable alternative seeing that I need stability at the low heights and 3D printing capabilities of 300mm+ Regards
