How would one configure a long belt drive actuator with adjustable (low) feed force, able to be manipulated by hand during travel and continue a end to end journey automatically. This is a mini golf course feature that drives a toy dump truck about 10ft out and back and can/will have kids mess with it. A button starts the cycle and I'm assuming I will need to do a arduino to program in the necessary self reset timers. Alternatively I could just do a adjustable ball detent release device on the drive carriage to let the truck break free and continue to use the garage door opener but they want a safe, reliable self reseting system. Any ideas on components and settings?
