HELLO.I used my laptop to controll my cnc with the black box controller.The SSD from the laptop is not damaged.I just wondering are the controller settings are saved on the ssd or its in the black box,so when i install the openbuilds controll on the new laptop do i have to re calibrate and do all these things once again?Or there is a saved config on the ssd or its stored in the blackbox?Thanks!
Saved on the BlackBox. But do remember to take a backup from CONTROL > Grbl Settings tab > Backup Settings button sometime to avoid future worry.
Just install CONTROL, plug it in, and connect. Don't load profile or anything like that (will overwrite current settings). Just use it as normal PS as its a new Windows install don't forget to fix the USB Selective Suspend Setting docs:blackbox-x32:install-windows-selective-suspend [OpenBuilds Documentation]
