Hi..I did a bit if a search but didn't find anything about this other than the standard way of joining V-Slot lengths using the double T- nuts, etc. The problem I see is the alignment needs to be extremely accurate, which I believe would be problematic without more precise locating elements.

If we had pins the diameter of the round holes in the extrusions..I believe those could be used as locating pins and then the double T-nuts would only be needed to provide the strength of the join (providing the T-Nuts were used with strong bar stock, etc.) and NOT the locating element. I found that a #13 drill bit (the chucking end, not the cutting end) fits nicely and I plan on cutting several in pieces to make pins to do the above with epoxying the pin into one side of the join. It would be nice if we could purchase pins of that diameter (.183") off the shelf, with one end slightly tapered.

Anyone know of pins of that diameter?

    Thanks in advance.

Please keep us informed as to how it goes Larry. ;)
Would be a simple, but sound, solution to a challenging problem.
Photos would be good as well.
