    Hello everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone can direct me on where I can get some higher quality linear bearings. I have a 3D printer that came with SCS8UU linear bearings, and while they work, the quality is obviously low. After having the printer for right at a month, one of the bearings is starting to go bad, very noise and vibrating, and 2 others are starting to make noise. 3 out of 6 total of these already showing signs of failure is a pretty poor rate of failure. The manufacturer of the 3d printer is sending me new ones, but I'm looking into just going ahead and getting some higher quality ones.

These are the bearings I'm talking about:

The printer came with those same ones I'm sure because the seller of the printer is also one of the sellers selling these bearings lol.

So preferably, I'd want something that is a drop in replacement for these.

I believe the SCS8UU bearing blocks hold LM8UU linear bearings. You should be able to pop out the retaining clips and replace the bearings with LM8UU from the bearing source of your choice. I've had decent luck with no-name bearings from amazon as long as you buy enough to sort through and find the decent ones. If you want higher quality, I believe some reputable bearing manufacturers like Misumi make versions as well.
