    CONTROL only supports Grbl (github.com/gnea/grbl)

$I is an official Grbl command: see gnea/grbl

Seems their build of Grbl does not support the standard commands.

You will have to use CNCjs or another GRBL sender. The OB software looks for a specific identifier within the $i command. The XPro v5 does not have that identifier, yet. I have a similar problem with the custom 6 pack I am using at the moment.
