I am new and already surfaced my spoilboard. My next adventure is to put holes in my spoilboard. Before I do that I created just a one hole gcode to see how the hole would come out. But when I run it, the router drags on the spoilboard and does not lift up creating a channel in the particle board. I attached the gcode if anyone could please tell me what I am doing wrong. I am using Fusion 360 to generate the gcode for Openbuilds Control panel on my Workbee 1050.

    thanks
    Mike

    Alex, OpenbuildsGRBL within Fusion 360.

Hi @Mike Nieman, it's my bedtime here (UK), but I'll have a look tomorrow if no one else chips in.
    Alex.

    Line 26:

    G53 G0 Z-10

G53 = Machine coordinates: Either forgot to home Z (get switches, it helps) , or forgot to "fake the z home"

Refer to f360/ob control and downward from there

Thank You. It worked by putting Z to 0.

I spoke too soon. My new problem is that the GCode does not lift the router bit after it drills my hole. Is there some setting in Fusion 360 to allow the router to lift out after a cut? Right now what it does is it drags through the wood at -12mm on its ways back to 0,0.

That just sets Work coordinates; The fusion post uses Machine coordinates too:
