I've been building a mini mill, but I'm new to this programming thing and I'm stuck. I know everything is wired correctly because it turns on, I can talk to the board and it says gcode commands were executed, but I don't even get a peep out of the motors. I copied the settings for the controller from grbl's troubleshooting page for the mini mill, and I'm using the universal gcode sender. The orange light next to the plug flashes when I'm connected with the gcode sender, I don't know what that means 20180326_122322.jpg

    Post your GRBL settings.

$4=1 for V3.1 gloss black board, that is usually the setting that needs to be fixed.

$4 was at 1, no luck. $1 is also at 255, so the axes should be solid, but I can move them easily.

Bad news for the day: my wrist is broken. Good news for the day: my CNC works!

Turns out I had 24v across the power supply, but only 6v at the board's terminal. I jumpered it and everything works fine. I got a bad power switch from Amazon

I'm "Liking" the successful CNC, not your broken wrist. :)
