As the title, has anyone had experience doing this with digitising probes? My understanding is Mach3 is capable of doing it, but i am unsure of how to find cost effective hardware or where/how the G-code is sent to CAD for modelling Thanks
Do you mean surface analyzing for machining back on to it or surface modeling based on probing information?
For probing and then engraving on an uneven surface you can try Gcoderipper: G-Code Ripper Probe-it seems promising for surface and perimeter, but I have yet to try it. Probe-It! Mach3 Wizard – Crafty CNC
