I recently inherited a prusa I3 3D printer from a friend . However the frame is acrylic and is broken in several places . All of the components beside are in good working order . I looked at ordering frames and most of the lead times are 3-4 weeks . Any ideas on how I can get up and running before that ?My main intent for this printer is to teach my daughter more about the technology . Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the link of the printer I have

You might look around to see if there is a makerspace in your area. Someone there may be able to knock out a replica of the frame or give you ideas on how to repair what you have. If you're looking to solve the problem for good look through the 3D Printer build section for Prusa V-slot upgrades.

I had built two clones of this printer out of 3/4" plywood. Works a treat! :)
