    Does anyone know a place where i can get a custom cnc cut Alum plate 12" x 12" x 1/4" that is super flat
    for not too much money?

    Hi Adam,

    Take a look at mic-6 aluminium tooling plate, it is used for making fixtures where flatness is important.

    It's reasonably priced if you get it on eBay etc but it's not dirt cheap.

    Tool and jig aluminums are nice, but their relaxed state and fine grain makes them susceptible to warpage at lower temps than their stressed counter parts. I have no idea what temp hot beds work at, but I'd just locate any 1ft^2 piece and have one side flycut by a local shop if you have one. If you do have a local shop, contact them ahead of time for a quote. If the quote is too high then go with a tool alum like 1972 suggested.
