    Hi,

I'm building a custom cnc with blackbox x32 and interface running a 2.2kw Vevor spindle
with A2 vevor VFD (on 0-10v and relay2)

Control software works fine for controling the three axes, but when i start the tool , the spindle begins
to run correctly, i can manage to change the frequency on the spindle for a time then software freezes
and doesn't respond anymore to any command (all tasks goes to job queue).

Impossible to stop the spindle and i must reset the blackbox to stop it. Control doesn't seem to overload
the system in task manager. I must kill it in software and run it again to reconnect to the machine.

Have you an idea of the origin of the problem?
    See some logs..
    Thanks!

Yes, EMI from the VFD. Rewire VFD properly (earthed VFD and spindle body, and spindle cable properly shielded)

    Thanks for your quick answer!
VFD and spindle body are correctly earthed..
The spindle cable must be the problem, i rushed it with cable i had with no proper shield...

Too impatient to see the machine work ;)
I will order a shielded cable and let you know

Concerning EMI, is it mandatory to put VFD in a distant/shielded box ?

Boxes usually doesn't help much (cables do most of the radiating)
