Hi guys I have a question if the X-PRO v3 CNC Stepper Controller works with MACH3. Thanks in advance.
No. Mach and LinuxCNC are LPT based systems that communicate with LPT based controllers to control stepper drivers. Xpro is a GRBL based controller with onboard drivers that use GRBL freeware GUI frontends to control them. Probably wasn't the best explaination, but I'm sure others will chime in. Joe
@Joe Santarsiero glad I found this thread. Gee I paid for Mach3 and got the CNC xPRO board....ugh...I guess I'll have to upgrade again...
You could just get Estlcam and have the whole package of software to control your machine. it is only $59 and works very well with the cnc xPro board.
Does anyone know what motion control board/breakout board works with Mach 4 software?! I really like the software but just don’t know what board to buy, and could really use the help in figuring this out! Thanks in advance
You can search on youtube, seriously its a good resource. Plenty of DIY builds that have reviews on their boards.
Search Internet using these keywords "mach 3 controller board". Avoid boards that use parallel ports.
