    Hi guys,

I after a little advice from some of the builders on here.

I'm sort of new to the whole cnc thing but I'm having a go at designing something on fusion.

I am making a gantry to span 1200. What would be stronger..

2x c-beam with 2 pieces of box section steel 40x20 mm x 1.5mm along each recessed area or 3x v-slot 8020 fastened together.

My gantry plates are 10mm thick aluminium.

I am using steel In the base area so its gonna have some weight to it....and its gonna be driven with ball screws.

    Looking at 566oz nema 23. (4Nm)

    Many thanks

    Mike
