Ok, so here is the deal, I received my black box a few days ago and finally got around to assembling it. Where I apply 24v power, I immediatly get faults on the z and y2 lights just below the potentiometers. I have not plugged in any nema 23 steppers yet, is this normal or did I maybe get a bunk board? Any help would be much appreciated.
That would not count as expected behaviour. Hit up http://support.openbuilds.com/support/home so they can sort it out for you 1) Do adjust the current down and see if it makes a difference 2) Do wire up motors, maybe the fault clears
Two of the steppers seems to function as expected but the other two no go from the beginning, I think I might have just got a bunk Driver board. Super bummed, hopefully open builds will quickly remedy this.
FAULT led lights only on overtemp, or overcurrent. While you wait for the store - mind taking a peak at the board for any obvious shorts around those two?
