Hi there.. Sorry another noob question. currently im using 3 outputs on my bb (x,y,z) y is the split to two drivers to power the two opposing motors of the y axis. and currently only have one home switch on one side. Is there a way of using two home switches and utilizing the bb A axis output to mirror the Y output except when going home it will run into the switch independently? thus calibrating the axis back to square in the event of it drifting out. I haven't actually tested my home switches with mach 3 as yet.. do the switches also calibrate the axis, say the switch is activated at +0.2 will mach 3 zero the location? Cheers, look forward to your comments. Jon.
Hi Jon, Yes - for Mach3 operation you need 2 home switches (one for each side of the gantry) then when configured in Mach it will automatically "square" the gantry when calling the homing operation. Tweakie.
This is the big problem with life in genereal - the more we learn, we realise that there is more we don't know. Tweakie.
