I have an old Artillery AL-4 that has slowly meet its end. The power and sensor wires have come loose from the heated bed and the SD card slot is no longer working.
I think I can salvage the bed. But I plan to replace the main board. I am open to suggestions regarding the board. I was considering the BIGTREETECH SKR PRO V1.2 32 Bit with the Wi-Fi expansion board, and the Bigtreetech TFT35-E3 disply or the Duet Wi-Fi (Price$$$).

I plan to convert to direct drive with either E3D Titan Aero, I have left over from a build at work, or a E3D Hermes, given to me. Both have very little runtime. I also plan to add BL touch or equivalent and lost end detection “Bigtreetech SFS V2.0”

I was also given a new set of five stepper motors from “Steppers on online” “17HS19-2004S1”. Dose anyone know if these are any better than the standard steppers mounted on these off the shelf printers?
