1/4in or 1/8in for 5052 aluminum ox plate

    It is getting hard for me to source 6061 aluminum and 5052 aluminum plate 1/4in. Will building an OX work with 1/8in 5052 aluminum plates instead?

    I wouldn't use 1/8 inch. Is steel easier for holy to find?

    I found some 10ga steel and plasma cut the plate from it. The stiffness is great. I think this might mean I need to upgrade my machine to nema 23.
