    4 Hours
    Bit or Laser Size:
    4 tool paths: 1st- Roughing: .25 end mill. 2nd- Finish: .125 ball nose. 3rd- V-Carve: .5/90 degree v bit. 4th- Profile: .25 end mill.

I referred to this feeds and speeds chart: https://openbuilds.com/projectresources/materials-speeds-and-feeds-chart.303/
Red Oak: Length: 1' Width: 1' Thickness: 3/4"
This was a fun project to carve out! It was really easy and the detail of the carving was incredible. I will share the tool paths that I used, so all you have to do is upload the G-Code to the OpenBuilds Control Software and watch your machine work.
This was our first attempt at 4 tool paths for a 3D carving:
    • 1st- Roughing: .25 end mill.
    • 2nd- Finish: .125 ball nose.
    • 3rd- V-Carve: .5/90 degree v bit.
    • 4th- Profile: .25 end mill.

    Liking this alot,
Can I ask you a question (as a newbie)
Can you tell me your exact settings for the V Bit, please. the roughing
and for the background also what settings did you use for that rough look.
I have a different idea and subject matter in my head and that framing would be perfect
    Thanks for posting

      Thanks Colin,
This was actually a tutorial that was available through Aspire, so I just modified the dimensions and added some custom text. The software did the majority of the heavy lifting. Here is a link of similar tutorials that really help to give you a better understanding of 3D carvings: http://support.vectric.com/tutorials/V9/?software=1&category=1&order=1
