Carrying keys in the traditional way is bulky and this solution is elegant, i just took an idea and made it my own.
I used this project to try different CAM solutions. I used Fusion 360, Vectric Cut3D and LaserWeb4
I making this one as a beginner because it could simply be done with a cnc machine. Also any material you want is good for this just account for the 3 M3 screws ( length ) and nuts or similar
The process involved in this is very simple:
- Place the stock you are going to use
- Take my design and modify it if you want
- Load it into LaserWeb4
- Set up the different operation. I user Mill Cut, Pocket, Inside Mill Cut and Outside Mill Cut
- Sand the top edges to give it a little shape
- Add some finish to it.
I have included:
- SVG file so it can be modified
- STL if you want to machine it with fillets
