I ran across this interesting website https://preciousplastic.com/en/machines/ about making your own plastic recycling machines such as an extruder, shredder, injection molder, and an oven/press for molding blocks all made of recycled materials. The machines are all open source and blueprints are downloadable. More info here for the machines. Precious Plastic I would love to try injection molding and may build this one.
