I’m continuing to get parts in to but together a 500mm x 750mm CNC Router and I’m trying to determine how long the rails and screw should be for this axis. Planning on using a DeWalt Router for the spindle and like to hear some suggestions on how much vertical movement would be ideal, really appreciate any suggestions. I’ll get the build posted as fab starts

Really depends on your needs. The less travel, the more rigid your machine will be, and vice-versa. The basic minimum would be 2 x your maximum stock height (2x, meaning a cutter long enough to cut all the way through your material) plus some clearance.
