y axis gantry alignment

    just curious as to how the guys with 2 y axis motors and screws are aligning their y gantries. trying to find a way to keep alignment when the machine isnt powered.

    I only had to re-align my Y gantries twice in four years - once when a stepper cable failed and once after a crash (don't ask - we all do stupid things sometimes).

    I'm not sure why you have a problem with the machine going out of alignment when not powered. By the picture I guess that the machine is always flat on the table. My machine is the same and has two Y screws and motors and I too don't have to realign anything, just like Alex.
