    Hi guys,

Its been awhile and I love this BB. Is there a way to add a probe for use as an auto level?? Anyway to get the OpenBuild Team to add this capability and sell the hardware for it??

It has a probe port, so yes you can add a probe. You will have to make one though, the Openbuilds probe plate is for finding 0,0,0.
can be as simple as a microswitch on a magnet that will stick to the router collet.

as for software, leveling is on the wish list but right now you can use bCNC to do it.

I got the zxy probe from here attach to that port, so just unplug it and plug in a surface probe. Will a limit switch do the same thing as a probe? I have a lot of these laying around..I think there a probe setup using the limit switch..I will give it a try. How is the probe port wiring setup? Can I use the same two wires from the limit switch and link it I to the port?

    Thanks,

    Peter

    yes
The probe port has 3 connections, GNd +V and SIG. For a simple switch you only need 2 pins, GND and SIG.
If you have Xtension switches, then use all 3 pins.
    Yes.

    read docs:xyzprobe:wiringtoblackbox [OpenBuilds Documentation]
    and docs:xtensions:limits [OpenBuilds Documentation]

and CNC Z-probe with a (small) microswitch by WalterSKW and anything else google turns up for you to look at
