I'm an IT Director for a small PA Charter school. we have 96% poverty line students so resources are non-existent. My primary design principle is of course low cost. But i am self funding a robotics styled club at our school and i am working on creating 3D printers for that project. I have succeeded in creating a prusa/wolfstrap styled 3D reprap variant and i am using it to manufacture parts for what i hope to be 3 to 4 aluminum/plastic printers for our school. I am also working with our grant writer to try to fund commercially made printers but i'm not holding my breath.
