Floating head assembly.
WLOG (WIP)
- I had to use only parts I already have.
- Z axis and floating head should be extendable - I want to have possibility to replace plasma torch with drag knife or other tools when needed.
Some tests with markers.
1. Floating Head Plate
- V-Slot Gantry Plate 20-80mm
- 4x Aluminum Spacer 6mm
- 4x M5 12mm screws
2. Z limit switch plate
- M5 10mm screw
- Nylon Insert Lock Nut M5
- L Bracket Single
3. Floating head wheels assembly
- 4x 30mm Low Profile Screws
- 4x M5 Slot
- 4x Nylon Insert Lock Nut M5
- 4x Precision shim
- 2x Eccentric 0.25in spacer
- 2x Aluminium 0.25in spacer
- 4x V Wheels
4. Floating part
I created custom plate from 2mmx20mm aluminium flat. It will be used as metal part for proximity sensor/switch.
- 2x T-nut
- 2x Precision Shim
- 2x M5 8mm Standard screw
- 1x M5 8mm Low profle screw
- Custom Top Plate
- 200mm 20x40 V Slot Profile

Two screws will act as limit for profile from falling down. It will stop at V-Slot Gantry Plate.
