I decided to go with a water cooled spindle on my OX CNC router. I finally received the radiator and fans, and it turns out the rad and fan are 60mm thick when mounted together, perfect to use 20X60 Vslot to mount the rad, fans, and small pump in a cool looking little package that can be mounted just about anywhere that is convenient. I will post some pictures of this cool (pun intended) little build later this week once I have it assembled. Just toying around with some different mounting ideas right now, not sure what the best is yet.
Update: Should have some time in the next couple of days to actually put this together. Just have to go slow with my knee healing after surgery.
Finally got around to working on this project again, have all the pieces cut, just need to tap 24 holes and start the assembly. The radiator has 4 little tabs that fit perfectly in the vslot, locking it in place without any additional hardware needed.I will post pictures later this week.
Since sleep eludes me tonight, I decided to finish up this little project. All I need now is some tubing, and to decide on how to mount it, the base is just temporary.
The total build cost was approximately $120.00 in total. I am sure there were cheaper ways of doing this, but I really wanted to add some bling to the build.
