This is my first CNC and my first build of its kind! I have done a lot, and I mean A LOT of research and I decided my first build will be the Basic C-Beam with only a couple of alterations. I ordered my bundle from the Canadian Distributor Makerparts.ca as I live in Ontario. I ordered the bundle on Sunday and received the package this morning so
#1 Excellent service and fast delivery!!
The first thing I did was inventory all the parts to ensure they were all in good condition and all the parts were there! Everything checked out and all parts were there!
#2 Excellent packaging and all parts there! Love it!
I have to say that my first impression is that this bundle is excellent quality, very impressive! I really shouldn't be surprised because I did the research!! I was looking to order the anti-backlash nuts for all the lead screws and I was very surprised that Open Builds included them with this bundle, bonus!!
The one thing I should mention is that the video says that the lead screws needed to be sanded down but I checked the bearings to the lead screws and they go right on SO NEW BUYERS......DON'T SAND THE LEAD SCREWS!!!
I am not much for pictures and videos but I will try to upload as I can.
I have watched the video build a number of times and I am very confident this will be an easy build.
I am a newbie so I will be looking forward to some expert advice especially with the controllers and such!!
Thanks in advance!!
My first CNC - The C-Beam Basic
Build in 'X/Y Table Style CNC Mill' published by crnrstndes, Sep 14, 2016.
I am a newbie and this is my first build. After hours and hours of research I decided on the C-Beam. I will be changing one or two things but I will basically be building this as per Mark's video.

Reason for this Build
I make custom cutting boards and I have looked for a practical method of cutting out my display stands with no luck! I also want to engrave my boards as well as inlay work.Inspired by
