Inspired by other builds from the community and reprap designs, I decided to build this large area CORE XY printer. I have tried to minimize the amount of mechanical cuts to allow purchase and use of off the shelf parts from the Open Builds store. I am putting together a BOM and list of STL printed objects.

This is an inexpensive build, large volume 2225 cubic inch, CORE XY 3D printer providing decent speed with precise and repeatable precision with expandable features.

Special Notes
This build has taken slightly more than 1 year from when I first ordered parts. Probably a bit longer as the ideas and research percolated in my head.

Reason for this Build
Wanted a more precise and faster 3D printer than acrylic Prusa i3 I bought from eBay/China with a bigger build volume. Plus I thought I could design a reasonably priced printer build that others might want to buy or make. -
