This was my fist CNC build. I have been looking to build one for a couple of years and finally pulled the trigger.
I bought the C-Beam mechanical bundle kit (w/o) stepper motors from the Openbuilds part store.
I am using a Protoneer Raspberry Pi hat , with Polulu DRV8825 drivers
and a Rasberry Pi 2.
I found a 15 amp DC power supply from amazon here
and Nema 23, 2.8A 179oz.in stepper motors from stepperonline (amazon).
Here is a google photos album of the build. It has some pictures and a video of me testing the jog

I am very new at this. I tried using bcnc but didnt find it very intuitive. I am using GitHub - cheton/cnc: A web-based CNC milling controller for the Arduino running GRBL. which is a cnc - grbl sender that has a browser interface. I can control the machine from any computer on my home network.
Haven't made any cuts yet, still trying to do the sharpie thing.
