My project was to build a smaller and more precise mill for use in making smaller projects and to build it with parts and materials I had on hand except for Steppers, motion controller, and a few screws, bearings and maybe a few pieces of Aluminum
Now that my slow boat from China has arrived the project is complete except to disassemble and paint the unit. I am using 1/2" Delrin for the "waste" board, that sits on top of the 1/4" 6061 aluminum main table. I am putting .300" holes on a 1.125" spacing so that I can add 1/4" threaded inserts from the bottom side of Delrin, The bridge will be modular and removable from the "Y" lower half . I am using an Acorn Motion Controller instead of Mach3 or Mach4. Centroidcnc has built Motion Controllers for many years and the Acorn is their latest product for the Hobbyist. 1. Special Notes

Your BOM will most likely be much different than mine since I had the Rails and slide bearings and the "Z" axis and spindle motor and most all of the aluminum and all of the wiring and connectors.

    Reason for this Build

I built this to use in my PC projects and small engraving projects
and to see if I could keep the cost below $400.00 but not sure I did that. Also I wanted the smallest foot print I could build that would also be practical.

Everyone that I have seen and watched for the past 50 years
